These are just a few examples of residential painting and prefinishing projects we’ve worked on lately. Over the years we’ve had the pleasure of helping with a lot of fun restoration and home improvement projects. It’s a great accomplishment for us to take a piece of old, rundown furniture and give it new life. Real wood furniture is made to last, but sometimes it can be neglected. Left in a garage to collect dust or left outside to fade in the sun. Sanding it down, giving it a new coat of paint or stain, completely turns the piece around and makes it a focal-point in a home’s design. Just take a look at the side table above with the succulent. Eric found it in his garage; it had seen better days. Now you can find it in our office!
Brightly painted doors have become a very popular design trend when it comes to home remodels and real estate in the last few years. It’s a great way to set your home apart from your neighbors and boost curb appeal. Some of the most popular lately have been red, yellow, and blue like the one above. Depending on the color of your home, one of those may really pop. Red is a bit more classic, a way to say people are welcome, or a nod to the biblical Passover. Varying shades of yellow became popular in the last few years because of how it pops when paired with grey – any designer will tell you grey became the new beige – it’s everywhere now. Every once in a while we get a residential painting project that’s really fun and different, like the blue door above.
